There’s no parking, the walls are thin, and the dryers are often broken. Laundry costs $30 to wash one blanket. The fire alarm went off four times in the nine months we lived here, including two serious fires. One started from a renter’s mishap, another was in the connected garage when a van caught fire, and another was in a vacant apartment. Today it went off for the fourth time at 5:40 am. The industrial-size alarm in our apartment was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk, and it kept going for over 40 minutes. The elevator went down and is still out, so this is not a disability-friendly place. The building has other serious problems. When we moved in, cleaners had forgotten to replace the metal bowls inside the electric stovetop, so we couldn’t cook. We got locked out because of the door codes, and nobody came to help us set up a new one. The outside apartment lights burned out, and management didn’t replace the bulbs after we called and asked. There’s black mold in the bathroom and AC, and instead of fixing things they used spray foam under the oven and around several outlets. In late November 2023, rainstorms caused the ceiling to leak and crack twice. After three calls to the service line, we had to threaten Alpha Management with a city inspector before they would “fix” it. Other apartments on different floors had the same issue. Their fix was just to paint over a ceiling that was clearly still wet. We started renting in September 2023 at $1850. Now they’ve raised the price to $2000 for a 350 sq ft studio because they’re adding new dishwashers and ovens. Don’t be fooled by the “cheap” price or included utilities. You could live somewhere safer and cleaner in a nearby building. When we move out, I’m reporting this place to Boston’s Saftey Buerua. I honestly don’t understand how this apartment complex is still open.

For the weekend conference, this place cost a third of what any hotel nearby would have. It’s a basic studio apartment, with a bathroom, kitchen, bed, WiFi, and the rest of the essentials. I didn’t see room service or room cleaning, but that was fine with me. The T is right next door, which made getting around easy. I’d stay here again.
