The concierge was incredible. The front desk did its job, but didn't stand out on a first impression. I'd give service four stars based on that, but the concierge really made it better. The $35 resort fee came with a $20 credit for Starbucks or the onsite restaurant, which I used, two vouchers for clam chowder and a drink at nearby Yankee Lobster, and a ticket to the Contemporary Art Museum, which I visited. The concierge had to hand out the vouchers and was wonderful. I stayed six nights and had a positive experience overall. The Seaport location was ideal for food, shopping, and a good walk. From my room on the 16th floor I could see the water and planes taking off from the airport. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom layout was awkward: you had to close its door to open the shower door, which wasn't great for someone like me who prefers to leave the bathroom open while showering to avoid extra steam and heat. The TVs could use an upgrade to support screen sharing, Chromecast, or Apple Play. The Starbucks attached to the hotel is solid, with great staff, fairly quick service, and drinks made right.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the lobby restaurant served good food with great service. There's also a lounge on the 20th floor stocked with snacks and beverages. I stayed one night and had a good experience at this wonderful hotel, very close to the airport. Two small drawbacks: there's no shuttle despite the hotel's proximity to the airport, and being beside the elevator meant a constant, low hum that was a bit annoying.

I've often stayed at Renaissance Hotels, usually making them my go to when traveling with my husband or friends. But this past weekend was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and it's made me reconsider staying here again. We were on the 11th floor and initially everything seemed fine. At 1 a.m. a guest in the adjoining room slammed the door and woke us. By about 2 a.m., there was screaming, banging on doors, swearing, and what sounded like things being thrown. It carried on for hours, nearly until 5 a.m., and we couldn't sleep. I told the front desk in the morning. They asked if I'd called security, but I didn't feel comfortable doing that because I didn't want the neighbors to know I'd complained. The reply felt dismissive: they said they'd had “some complaints because it was Valentine’s weekend.” That doesn't excuse hours of disruptive behavior. I spent 50,000 points and got virtually no sleep. At this level, I expect much better guest care, professionalism, and service.

After I checked out, I saw three charges on my card: $442, $10, and $9. I'd booked and paid Expedia for the room, and understood the hotel asking for a card for charges and incidentals at check in. I thought the $442 might be a deposit, but the other amounts seemed odd. Days later, instead of the hold coming off, Renaissance Hotel charged me $462 after I'd already paid through Expedia. If I hadn't checked my card, they would have taken $462 from me. That's theft, plain and simple. Never again. I'd planned to book Seaport Hotel or Omni Parker Hotel, but chose Renaissance for some reason and regret it. I urge others not to book there. Update, reply to owner: I don't need to contact the third party I booked through. Your hotel charged me a second time after I had already paid. The hotel has issued a full refund, which should arrive in 5-7 business days. That's a huge inconvenience, but I blame myself for choosing a hotel that's so terribly run. Never again.

We were worried that our three grandchildren, all under five, might be too energetic for such a beautiful hotel during our weekend stay. Instead, the front desk welcomed us each day with smiles and lots of laughter, and every staff member treated us with genuine warmth, kindness, and care. Their hospitality felt like friendship, and I'm so grateful for it. Security even prepared a special gift pack for my granddaughter without peanuts. It meant so much to us. Thank you for making the stay so memorable.
