The Langham, Boston

The birthday card and cupcakes for my wife were such a thoughtful touch, and everyone we met was super friendly. We came to The Fed for dinner and the Gram for breakfast. The burger, octopus, tuna tartar, and avocado cob salad were all enjoyable, and the almond apricot danish was amazing. It’s a really well-kept hotel in a great Boston location. This was our first night away together in three years, with our three kids, ages 5 to 1, at home. We liked it so much that I booked another night for the following weekend to bring my mom. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back more often. A gem in Boston.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a table that came in handy for meals. The beds were cozy, the shower was divine, and everything was very, very clean. The pool was great too. They even had a little robe and slippers ready for my six-year-old, which made her so happy. The Diptyque soaps and hair wash were a real treat. We could walk to Faneuil Hall in five minutes and the Children’s Museum in ten. It was -6°, so those short walks were useful, and the $10/night parking nearby meant we skipped the valet. Service was top tier. We could text with the staff, and every request was taken care of, including late checkout, a mini fridge, and help with all our bags. The bellhops were delightful and kind. Room service came quickly with generous portions, and the food was yummy. The Bolognese and kids pasta were hits, and they gave us a pager to retrieve the cart. Our stay was perfect. Such a lovely place for adults and kids!

I’ve finally found my Boston go-to. The breakfast is actually worth getting, and the hotel is genuinely pet-friendly with reasonable fees. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service has been consistently excellent across my stays. I’ve stayed at plenty of Boston hotels, but this is my favorite by far. I’ll definitely be back.

The history gives The Langham, Boston a character all its own. It used to be the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and the huge windows with sweeping views made our room feel bright and grand. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept well each night. We also understand the hotel has earned two Michelin Keys, which seems well deserved for the experience. The personal service stood out. Helen was our first point of contact, and Ella was kind and attentive during the last days of our stay as a Nor’Easter was coming in. Marwan shared thoughtful advice, was generous, and surprised us with welcome gifts in the room. Those touches made us feel cared for. The frontline team also handled a few backend hiccups quickly and graciously. A couple of small details could use more attention. It would help to know before check-in if the room fridge isn’t working. We also saw small holes in the linens and tiny paper bits beside the beds. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon. We’d come from Mandarin Oriental, Boston, which is in a great location but hadn’t met the luxury expectations or brand standard we’d hoped for. Arriving at The Langham was refreshing.
