The room was spotless, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the inside of the place is a lot nicer than the outside suggests. I travel a lot, so I know when a room is really good. The bar on site is a big perk too, since you can have a drink and then just head to your room. Saturday karaoke was amazing, and I plan to come back for it regularly. The one snag was Sunday breakfast: I was up at 7 and still waiting at 8:30 for them to open. I may have to take off a star if it opens too late.

The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the pizza had a great crust that my kids loved. The room was adequate for our monthlong stay while we waited for our house, though it felt overpriced. I’d booked a downstairs room but was given one upstairs. That was a real problem with my broken lower back and disability, since stairs are difficult for me. Getting fresh towels and sheets was the biggest hassle, and the maid hardly seemed to show up. Marcus, the manager, and the women in the bar were very nice, but the bar staff who often handle the motel could use better training for that work. Friday’s music was too loud, and the singers were tone deaf. Still, it was pretty good overall, and I’d stay again if I needed to.

Max's is right next door, just across the parking lot, with good food, great staff, and weekend entertainment most of the time. I haven't stayed at the motel, but I heard it's under the same ownership, so Max's gives a good impression of what the motel might be like. From here, everything in old town is easy to get to. This is a great spot in Boulder City.

Room quality seems to vary a lot. You might get one that's reasonably clean and updated, or you could find five different pubic hairs in the tub and a carpet that reeks like someone's athlete's foot. The staff seem much more interested in the bar than helping motel guests, so customers are left to sort out their own problems.

My room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, and there were hairs in both the toilet and tub. It was overpriced, the AC barely cooled the room, and the towels smelled like they hadn't been changed. When I came back from the Strip, the lot was full of bar customers, so I had to park on a random street. Parking wasn't guaranteed.
