The Beach House At Oak Island by Carolina Retreats

We had a lovely stay for our first annual sister beach trip here. The beds were comfortable, the couch was cozy, and the shower had great pressure. There were plenty of clean towels, too. The view was beautiful, and it was a short walk to the beach and to the pier for coffee at Ruby’s. Thanks for a wonderful visit. We'll be back!

I'm a senior woman and was traveling alone on this quick stop between SC and home in MI. I felt completely safe and found everything very clean and comfortable, from the living room and bedroom furnishings to the small kitchen and bathroom. I had a first-floor king suite and couldn't have asked for more. Beach access is right across the road. The receptionist and housekeeper were both pleasant, and they let me check in early at no extra charge when I arrived ahead of schedule. I hope to return for a longer stay with my cousin, who's my shelling and beach partner. I'd rate this place 10+!

I'd happily stay at this quiet little motel again. The location is right across from the beach, and I loved sitting outside on the small deck with its chairs and table, listening to the ocean. The room stayed cool and comfortable with the split unit, and it had a ceiling fan too. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. My only little suggestions are better toilet paper and coffee in the room. That's me being picky, though. You can tell the owners take real pride in the place.

Our one-bedroom unit had a king bed and lots of space, and it had been completely renovated. We cooked our first night using the convenient two-burner stovetop. When we noticed a kitchen item was missing, it was brought over right away. Amanda made check-in quick and easy, and she was delightful. We were also able to check in early. My sister and I loved our two nights here, our first visit to Oak Island. We highly recommend The Beach House, a 10 from us, and can't wait to come back!
