Americas Best Value Inn Bowling Green

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and respectful, and they answered our questions quickly. They were also willing to work with us as a family and help with whatever we needed. Our room was clean and in good shape when we arrived, and they provided plenty of towels and basic supplies when we asked. The low rate made staying here much easier, and it wasn't overpriced. I enjoyed our stay!

The bed was awful, with the mattress springs easy to feel, and the towels looked gray. The bathroom was dingy and the sink was cracked. We got a smoking room without any ashtrays, and there wasn't even a refrigerator. I won't stay here again.

The room was in awful shape: the AC barely worked, there was a persistent bad smell and poor ventilation, and it looked nothing like the online photos. Cracks around the bathroom fixtures, dirty and damaged floors and trim, and broken furniture held together with makeshift supports added to the problems. I recently spent two nights at America’s Best Value Inn in Bowling Green, KY, after booking two double beds through Expedia for $134. At 4:30AM, the desk staff demanded another $58 before handing over the room, even though I had already paid online. I felt I had no choice but to pay. When I asked for a receipt for the extra charge, they said none was available and gave explanations that made no sense. For what I had to pay, this was unacceptable and deeply frustrating. I would advise people to avoid this motel.

I booked and paid through Priceline three days before arriving, but was told there were no rooms because, according to the manager and owner, half the hotel was having maintenance problems. I asked for a refund, and the front desk manager agreed verbally. Almost a week later, I still haven't received it, even though Priceline contacted the hotel. The manager apparently wasn't there, and the desk couldn't issue my money back. The room had ashes all over it and smelled strongly of smoke. Towels were stained and dirty, and there were blood stains on the sheets. I don't know how this place has two stars. Please be careful, I'm still waiting for my refund.
