Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bowling Green, KY

After getting back around 8:30, we found bugs in the bathroom and by the window curtain. I had already said we'd leave if we saw another, and then one showed up on the sink. My friend and I took a video, packed up, and went straight to the desk. They first offered another room, but we didn't want to move to a different room in a place with bugs. The hotel was sold out, so we waited an hour for a manager because the new desk clerk couldn't resolve it. He cancelled the room, which put two charges on my card. The manager said one would drop off and the other would be refunded. One did drop off, but the other posted, and over a week later I still hadn't received the refund. When I called, a rude desk worker said to call tomorrow because there was no manager, then claimed the situation was already on file when I asked her to pass on my call. She also rushed through the manager's email address. I just want my money back and to forget this roach-infested hotel. I attached stills from the video since uploads aren't allowed.

The biggest letdown was the pool: it was freezing and cloudy, and there was no hot tub at all, despite the listing. When I asked whether it was closed or the jets needed a timer, the desk clerk said they didn't know, maintenance wouldn't be in until Monday, and this was Saturday night. We were leaving Sunday, so we never got to use it. The pool and hot tub were part of why we chose the place for the kids, but the clerk's tone made asking about compensation uncomfortable. Most staff seemed nice, though the front desk was a disappointment. At 2 a.m., the clerk acted as if our arrival was an inconvenience. We hadn't planned to be late, but traffic and detours stretched our six-hour drive. For the weekend, the room was clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast pretty good and mostly stocked. The bathroom had a couple loose tiles, and the oversized shower head's widely spaced outlets gave weak pressure. Fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but wasn't a big deal.

I'd come back. The rooms showed some wear, but they were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good too.

The lobby looked good and the staff were friendly, but the room didn't match the size shown on the website. There was a lot of dust around the kitchenette, and the bathroom had no fan to clear steam after a hot shower. Mildew around the tub and something smeared on the walls made it disgusting. We were glad it was only one night, and won't stay again.
