Hampton Inn by Hilton Bowling Green

The location made this a convenient stop, with easy interstate access, good parking, and several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare, but hot and plentiful, and the coffee was fresh. Our room was basic and somewhat updated, with a sofa thanks to the complimentary upgrade we got as Gold members. Check-in through the Hilton app was smooth, as usual. We were passing through Bowling Green, Kentucky on the way home from a Florida vacation and to visit family nearby. The room was next to the fitness center, but it stayed quiet, even on a lazy Sunday morning. The bathroom was quite small, and the shower had seen better days. My husband thought the water was very hard because the soap wouldn’t lather well, which left us wondering about the water quality. We usually stay with Hilton and often pick Embassy Suites, so this didn’t quite measure up, but it was perfectly acceptable for a quick overnight. We appreciated getting our Gold member water and snacks at checkout.

I’ve stayed at this location several times, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Most rooms have been updated; one room I stayed in still needed a little more work. Breakfast offers a large assortment of food and drinks. It’s a great spot for restaurants, stores, and I-65.

The back parking area borders woods with tons of trash scattered around, which really hurts the first impression. Please include the grounds in your upkeep. Inside, the facility was clean, the room was decent, and the price was fair. I stayed one night and appreciated the free breakfast with plenty of choices, including eggs and bacon, which are a must for protein as a diabetic.

5/2/26 The room was clean, but the outlets kept losing power. I tried different phones and chargers, with the same issue. Breakfast was scarce, and the coffee and juice ran out quickly. The trash cans overflowed, and it seemed like the guy handling breakfast had quit halfway through. At about $300 a night, I’d expect not to have to go to McDonald’s for coffee.
