I’ve lived in this complex for nearly four years and have never once paid rent late. Still, I’ve repeatedly dealt with serious neglect of basic maintenance, safety, and livability. My roommate had a bathroom ceiling leak for nearly a month, with no repair. Visible mold appeared, and the health concern went unaddressed for weeks. More recently, my fire sprinkler leaked actively for several days. I contacted the complex again and again without any action. Around midnight, I eventually found and called the fire suppression company myself. They said the complex had never contacted them and called it a serious safety risk and failure of the whole system. Residents should not have to step in during a life-safety system failure. Now my air conditioning has been broken for weeks, and management hasn’t treated it with any urgency. Maintenance staff told me management instructed them to stop refilling the Freon because it was “too expensive.” There’s been no communication, repair plan, or resolution. These aren’t isolated problems. It’s a pattern of systemic neglect, with critical issues ignored until residents have to escalate them. Communication is poor, follow-through is lacking, and safety seems to be treated as a cost issue instead of a responsibility. If you expect basic upkeep, timely maintenance, or safety standards, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
