Comfort Suites Airport - University

The king suite with pullout sofa was a little worn around the edges, but it was very clean and nothing was too extreme. The bed was just much too hard for me. I called ahead to say we’d arrive late Friday evening, or early Saturday morning. The desk girl, whose name I forget, was warm, accommodating, and professional. When we checked in a little after 3 am, the overnight guy was just as warm and professional despite the hour, and got us settled quickly.

Hotel prices in Bozeman are ridiculous, so this was a much more affordable choice. We’ve stayed twice in the past few weeks while passing through to visit family, and the rooms have been very clean both times. The staff were extremely kind, breakfast today was delicious with lots of options, and the location is handy, close to the freeway and almost sharing a parking lot with Walmart if you’ve forgotten something. Thanks, Comfort Inn. We’ll be back.

I usually avoid older hotels, and this one is a little dated, but it turned out to be one of the best stays I’ve had in a while across several hotel brands. The room was clean, well laid out, and had plenty of towels. The staff were amazing, especially the super sweet manager, who was relaxed but accommodating. The pool and hot tub area were very well maintained. I’ll absolutely stay here again.

This place feels run down and hasn’t had a renovation since it opened in 2013. The website pictures are from the grand opening. Carpets are outdated, ripped, and stained, as are the couches, and some mattresses are torn badly enough that they need replacing. The pool and spa area is half closed much of the time because nobody there knows how to take the readings. They fix the pool logs so they don’t have to close it. The ice machines are full of mold and mildew. I’d stay away. The regional manager katlyn only comes out of her office to eat and use the restroom. You can’t miss her, she’s about 400 pounds. They call it the Comfort Inn Suites by the airport, but at least a dozen others are closer to the airport. I’d avoid this hotel as much as possible.
