Homewood Suites by Hilton Bozeman

The receptionist was really nice and helpful at check-in, and Jenna from Guest Services was helpful when she texted to check on my stay. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the lobby is beautiful. Still, I left disappointed after booking because of the good reviews. My room felt "icky," like another reviewer said, with a full kitchen trash can housekeeping hadn't emptied, silverware in the insinkerator, bathroom mold, conditioner that ran out after two pumps, and furniture that looked beaten up. Little details added to that feeling: the lamps mixed cool and warm light, the QR code stickered around the room led to a hotel details site with no information, and the body wash was sitting on the tub even though glue residue showed it had once been mounted on the wall. I hadn't thought much about those details before, but together they made the lack of attention obvious. I wouldn't recommend it based on my stay. Maybe the two bedroom suites are in poor shape, or maybe it was just room 451. I'm not sure.

The staff were great, but they missed servicing our room one night. Breakfast was another letdown. We arrived 45 minutes before it ended, and there was no pancake mix, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, or orange juice. No excuse!

It's a great place to stay, with big, comfortable rooms that were cleaned well. Breakfast was decent, with some fruit and overnight oats. Being farther from downtown makes it cheaper. Our stay was perfect and relatively quiet, except for freeway noise. I'd suggest choosing a room away from the freeway to cut down on the ambient sound.

The rooms are a bit older, but ours was clean and warm. I stayed during a long road trip with two dogs, and the nighttime and morning front desk agents were unbelievably kind and courteous, especially with dogs that had spent 10 hours in a car. It was a great overnight stop, and their friendliness and how dog friendly the place is would make me stay longer too. We'll be back!
