My Place Hotel - Bozeman, MT

I was nervous about booking because of the other reviews, but we had a great stay. The front desk guy was really kind, and let my dance partner charge his phone at the desk. We saw one dog, which usually makes me wary, but it was leashed, well trained, and didn't bark all night. The rooms were great, the AC worked, and there's a restaurant next door if you get hungry. It's cheap and well run, with some of the kindest workers. I'm definitely staying here next time I'm in town for a dance competition.

The bed was comfortable, and the place was very clean. The kitchen was nice but didn't come stocked. It's pet-friendly, with an easy area for walking dogs, and the staff were friendly. There's good coffee in the lobby. Being near both the interstate and a railroad meant some noise, and it seemed odd that a motel like this didn't include breakfast.

The staff handled this terribly. They let dogs roam around off leash inside, including aggressive ones that growled and lunged at people. I complained several times, but nothing was done. When I reported one loose dog, the front desk guy told its owner I was the one who complained, pointing at me and saying, “this person is complaining about you”. Completely unprofessional.

The bed was very comfortable, and for a brand-new hotel this was the best value I've found among the chains. The kitchenette doesn't come with cooking gear, plates, or silverware, so bring all of that if you plan to prepare meals in the suite. When I travel in the US, I'll look for this hotel. It's a chain, and the franchise rules are very strict.
