Residence Inn by Marriott Bozeman

The pool was small but looked nice, and the weight room was decent, with more than one treadmill, which was a plus. The rooms were spacious, but light coming in under and around the door made it hard to sleep. Our thermostat switched to auto and wouldn't run all night, even though our family likes the room nice and cold for sleeping. There aren't ice machines on the floors, just in the rooms, and it took about an hour to make ice. I couldn't check in early even though I made the request in the app an hour ahead, as it said to.

The room felt like a cozy home away from home, with no leftover odors or dampness. Our one-bedroom King Suite had a full living room, spacious attached bathroom, and a full kitchen with all the cookware, glassware, and silverware we needed. There was also a full-size fridge that made ice, so we didn't have to leave the room. We found the price fair for Bozeman, and Sherrill Morris and her team made the stay enjoyable and memorable. We were glad to be across from major shopping centers, with green grassy areas behind the hotel where we could get fresh air without going far. The grounds were kept free of dog mess, which we appreciated given how many lazy dog owners in the city leave messes around. Parking was never a problem in the large lot, which could fit anything from a small car to a class C motorhome. Inside, the building had good lighting, easy exit access all around, and a large dining area beside the full breakfast bar. The food was hot, cleanly arranged, and varied enough to fill us up. The breakfast staff were always welcoming. There was even a little gift shop with a nice selection of toiletries and goodies. The pool area was spacious and ventilated, though dimly lit, and the hot tub was nice and hot. The attached patio doors could be opened to let in sun and fresh air. The gym had lots of equipment, was clean and well ventilated. The second-floor laundry was average, but the machines did the job. Other amenities included a computer and printer area, a conference room, coin-operated washers and dryers, fire pits, outdoor cooking, and a hidden retreat in the center of the building that you discover after check-in. That first-floor patio had a fireplace and was a lovely spot for a private moment. The conference room was busy throughout our stay, with Indigenous events from the local University, wedding receptions, business meetings, and, I think, a group of hunters sharing gear, guns, ammo, and stories. We had a relaxing time at the outdoor fire pits and BBQ station, roasting marshmallows and cooking steaks that turned out delicious. Sherrill Morris, the GM, puts an incredible amount of care into the hotel and every guest. Her staff strive to make each person's experience exceptional. Donna Lee at the front desk, Troy and Ken in maintenance, Holli at the front desk, and Ashliegn on Night Audit all helped make our stay unforgettable. The staff were professional, kind, genuine, and human. Great job, Sherrill Morris and team!

The cookies were the best I've had, and Lilly was awesome. From the spotless room to amenities that worked as they should, it felt like people took real pride in the place. The staff were pros and made me feel welcome, almost like family. The atmosphere mixes comfort and class, and the team made me feel like a rockstar. Staying at Resident Inn feels like leveling up, and if hospitality had a championship belt, Resident Inn would wear it. I'll be back again and again.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well organized, and the pool was clean too. The gym was being worked on but remained open. Breakfast was a little light, though still good. My favorite part was the cookies left out for guests in the evening. They really made my day.
