Anna Maria Island Dream Inn

The beach is close, and there’s a nice breezeway on the ground floor. Our beds were comfortable, the AC was cold, and the showers had hot water. The rooms could use some TLC, though, and the place has a lot of potential if the owners cared more about it. We had ants in both the bathroom and kitchen, a slider that wouldn’t close properly and let air in, and black mold on the floor. I told Marty about each problem, and she promptly sent people to clean and take care of them. Marty and her staff were amazing. She works seven days a week and really busts her butt for guests. I’d give Marty and the staff 5/5 stars. The photos show both the beautiful views and how much needs updating.

The view is out of this world, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. This isn’t the Ritz, it has more of an old Florida feel, and it’s closer to an apartment than a hotel. There’s what you need to cook a meal, including a refrigerator. The staff greet you with smiles each morning and check if you need anything. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.

The Dream Inn has a nice beach view, with the beach right in front of the room. There are some adequate restaurants with outdoor dining along the beach, and the rates are very reasonable. We picked Anna Maria Island for its beautiful beaches and because it has no high-rise hotels. It feels more like the old-school beach resorts of the 60s.

The pool was awesome, and the beach was just a short walk beyond it. Our one-bedroom beach view room was spacious, clean, and neat, and the staff were great and friendly. My wife, dad, mom, and I stayed for a night in August, and we were all pleasantly surprised. I’d read some bad reviews and wasn’t expecting much, though I figured you can’t go wrong on the beach. Once you finish checking in, you’re right by the pool. Forget those bad reviews, maybe those people were having a bad day and just wanted to talk down a great place.
