We were able to use our Passport American Discount program, and there are lots of amenities here. It was our first time at this RV resort, arriving on Memorial Day, so we expected possible trouble. There was a little mix-up, but the on-call manager came right out to our site and sorted it out. Everyone was welcoming and the staff were great. We think you’d be very happy staying here. We keep coming back because the people are great and we’ve made lots of friends here, but management doesn’t seem interested in what residents want. Lot rent keeps going up as amenities disappear. Horseshoe Cove used to be a great place when we started coming in 2016, but it’s gone downhill over the past several years. The park is on the Braden River, yet we can’t use the small boat launch anymore because we’re no longer allowed to keep a small boat, canoe, or kayak on the island. There’s no trash pickup now, and management doesn’t seem to care whether someone is handicapped. The clubhouse, game room, and library are locked by 9 p.m. because management can’t be bothered to stay until 10 and won’t install keypad locks. There isn’t enough light to use the pool after dusk. Rules seem to apply to some people but not others. It’s all about who you know. Management won’t sit down at a round table to hear residents’ needs and wants. Their answer is, if you don’t like it, move. Find another place, folks. Don’t come here.

The apartment above the office was fabulous, and the staff were exceptional. This is a seniors’ mobile home park with some air BandB units. Well worth staying here.

I had two issues. They charged us for things we reported as broken, but never came to fix them. Also, we were told our car would be towed if we didn't move it, and there was nowhere to park when we went to the island park.

The little home was laid out cleverly and felt really comfortable, with a bedroom and bathroom at the back and a full kitchen, living, and dining area. Our car was right beside it, and we were just steps from both doors. We also liked being able to take evening walks around the resort without going anywhere else. The place is convenient, quiet, and feels very safe. The staff were friendly and quick to help. The pool is nice, though the water was really warm during Florida's heat wave, so sitting in the shade felt cooler. The gym is pleasant but small, with very limited equipment. Staying at Horseshoe Cove has changed how we think about trips. We plan to look for RV resorts before choosing hotels from now on. ❤️❤️❤️
