Jet Inn Motel

My employer picked this place to save $13, and I was stuck staying in what was easily the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. The foam mattress was so thin I could feel the metal rails. The water kept running, the walls were paper thin, and traffic noise never stopped. There was a lot of beer and alcohol visible outside the neighboring room, which made me think whoever was next door might be a regular. Staff seemed genuinely surprised when I rang their doorbell for service, which should’ve been my first sign to go somewhere else. I didn’t even pay out of pocket and still say, stay anywhere else if you can. If you have no money, that’s different, you have to stay somewhere warm. I hope this keeps someone from going through what I did.

The low price wasn’t worth it. I found this motel on Booking.com, but the photos there didn’t show this property. The room was filthy at check-in, with lots of things in disrepair. We found a bedbug and asked to switch rooms. The next room had cockroaches, and so did a third. The sheets clearly still had hair and dirt on them. Another guest checking in at the same time said their sheets had cigarette burns. Things were falling apart, and the smoke detector looked like it was hanging from the ceiling by its wires. I hope they give this place the deep cleaning it badly needs.

We arrived at midnight after a long trip home with a prepaid, non-refundable reservation, only to be told by the front desk worker that there were no rooms. They appeared homeless. The hotel was oversold. In their reply below, they chose to give our room to someone else, then blamed the booking company. That’s absolutely shady, and in the end I’m glad we didn’t support them. Don’t waste your time or money.

I really like the people at jet inn. It’s a mom and pops hotel, and they work hard to make guests welcome and take care of what they need. The night clerk was nice and easy to talk with. The lady reminds me of my aunt, and the manager, probably the owner’s husband, is nice and will help with anything. With the area’s history, you can appreciate their hospitality. It feels safe and secure, and family oriented. Compared with the other hotels around there, this is the one to pick. There are bad reviews, but those people may not know what struggle is like. If you understand the struggle, you’ll see they do their best with what they have. They try hard. It’s 5 stars from me. Thanks, jet inn.
