My husband and I were driving from Michigan to Rochester, MN for doctor appointments, and stayed here on 1/19/26. After ten hours on the road, we agreed to move to a first-floor room when we were offered one. A bedbug had crawled onto my blanket while we were watching TV in bed. I was horrified, but we managed to put it in a plastic bag and take it to the front desk. At checkout the next morning, I expected some kind of compensation for what had happened. There was none.

The room was clean, and everything in the bathroom worked. Still, for over $200 a night, I expected more. There wasn't a clock, so I had to use my phone, and the bedside outlet was so loose that my charging puck kept falling out. The Holiday Inn Wi-Fi sent me to a login page that didn't work. I tried calling the desk, but there were no instructions in the room for what number to dial. When I went down, I was told to ignore the page and use a password that wasn't posted anywhere, so you have to ask for it. I left very early and asked about grab-and-go breakfast. They said there was always fruit, but at 4:30 am there was only one apple. Luckily, a nearby kwik Trip is open 24/7.

The room door handle is set so low that, at 6 feet tall, I feel like I'm reaching down to my knees. Otherwise, it's a really nice Holiday Inn, with friendly staff and a spotless room.

We were there for the first night beer and wine were available in the lobby, and the manager was very helpful. The front desk also gave us a great dinner recommendation. We only stayed one night, and the pool was closed for cleaning, which was fine with us. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in Oshgosh.

We were there for less than a day and night, and it was pretty decent. The location was great, with places to eat and shop all around.
