Cragun's Resort & Hotel

The venue looks beautiful, and the renovations Cragun's is working on sound amazing. They should leave both past and current visitors in awe and make new visitors speechless when they find this gem. I've worked weddings at Cragun’s with Complete Weddings + Events, and it has consistently gone smoothly. From my work as a DJ and with operations, I appreciate how the venue team communicates and helps keep the timeline on track, so couples can enjoy their day.

As a DJ for Complete Weddings + Events, I love the lakeside ceremony setting at Cragun’s. It feels romantic and grounded, then the reception energy picks up fast and the dance floor becomes the center of the evening. The place brings natural beauty and celebration together so easily. It feels like a whole wedding weekend rather than just one day.

I grew up coming to Cragun's with my brother, and even now, almost 31, I still love it. I usually visit in summer with my family, but this time I brought my fiancée for our third anniversary. It was my first winter visit, at the beginning of spring, and her first visit ever. Summer is definitely more fun, but we still had a great time. I didn't know construction was underway, so a lot had changed since my last trip. The weather was cold and gloomy, but it didn't spoil the vacation, and being back brought up a lot of memories. The beds were really comfortable, with big, warm fleece blankets that were perfect to snuggle under, plus plenty of pillows. Some places were closed, including Irma's kitchen and the sporting & event center, because of a Darts competition, but we made the best of it. Cabin 695 had a few little issues: the shampoo dispenser cover in the bunk room came loose when pushed; the deck screen door was torn, which could matter in summer; there was a long crack in the door to the master bedroom that you could see through, so privacy could be a concern; and the heat in the second bedroom wouldn't turn on. I recommend Cragun's in winter when the activities are running, and definitely in summer. Thanks for making our anniversary memorable. We'll be back!
