Kavanaugh's Sylvan Lake Resort

The resort was really quiet, and the staff were so friendly. We had a wonderful couple of nights here and will be back.

We first came across Kavanaugh's in 2019 while searching for a lakefront cabin or resort. We wanted to avoid paying for a golf course, restaurant, and resort fees like at some other places we'd visited nearby. The Oaks cabins worked well for a week and have become a comfortable base for relaxing by the lake or exploring the area and visiting family, since my husband grew up here. We've returned nine times since then, in both summer and winter. For the two of us, the cabin feels roomy, with a deck overlooking the water, a fireplace, kitchen, two bathrooms, and king-size bed. We love the sunsets and wildlife, and were glad to see a second treadmill in the workout room this year.

We've stayed in a lake-view townhome every September for four years running. It's always been a pleasant visit, and the place is quiet and comfortable.

I've been coming to Kavanaughs since 1987, sometimes more than once in a year, though I haven't made it every year. It's family owned and run, and such a great spot for a family vacation. Lake Sylvan is peaceful and really clean, there's lots of golf and restaurants, and Pequot Lakes is only 15 minutes away. The weekly duck races are a family favorite 😍. Love the Kavanaughs 🥰
