Comfort Inn

The service was good, and they gave us a full refund so we could book somewhere else. Still, getting to that point was a hassle. As soon as we entered the room, it looked very dirty. I wiped things down and the wipe came away brown and black, with hair all over the place. I wouldn’t stay here unless I had no other choice.

Those odd, unpleasant smells were the one thing that kept this from being five stars. I’m not sure if they came from the heater or AC, or maybe from outside. Otherwise, we had a really good stay and would definitely recommend it. It’s right off the interstate, with clean, quiet rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, a nice breakfast, and friendly staff. The pool and hot tub are small and older, but still very nice.

The location was convenient, but the room was old, stuffy, and poorly cleaned. The front door sat unevenly, with a gap near the lock, so we used our own lock and put the ironing table against it for privacy. We only stayed one night and expected a better experience for the money. The front desk employee seemed a little cranky. We got the impression they weren’t happy when we used Choice member benefits or other perks for a better price.

Quality Inn worked out great for me. It’s right next door to the Holiday Inn and cost half as much. I didn’t need a suite, and the free breakfast was great, probably the same one they offer next door. The pool was fine, just not an elaborate play area. If you’re traveling with kids, the Holiday Inn’s suites and nicer pool might suit you better, but I was happy here.
