Grand Crowne Resort

The rooms are so clean, fresh, and homey, and the beds are comfy. They have everything you need, including a washer and dryer. I really love this place. If I could give it a million stars, I would.

The room was clean and well cared for, and I slept well in the comfortable bed. It was quiet, too, though the décor and furnishings felt dated and could use an update. The grounds were nicely kept, and the scenery added charm. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out both went smoothly. The location worked well for exploring Branson. It was near popular shows, attractions, and restaurants, but still felt calm and relaxing at the end of the day. I thought it offered good value, especially for someone planning to spend most of their time around town. If cleanliness, location, and friendly service matter more to you than updated rooms, it's a solid option.

There was no air conditioning in either unit during my stay. The maintenance man said the unit was frozen, then left. The rooms were dirty when I arrived, so I had to clean up right away. The counters were visibly soiled, and one toilet kept clogging. A maintenance worker said he'd fixed it, but I flushed to check and it started to overflow.

The presentation was frustrating. We had to go through the full presentation and location tour again a year after doing it to join the Discover program. Saying no wasn't easy, and it felt like the session dragged on because they wouldn't accept it. We chose not to join the full Capital Vacations program because it doesn't suit our needs or budget right now. We were using our remaining points in the Capital Vacations Discover program. Based on what I saw, this place is as good as any if you're doing Capital. We had two rooms for a few days. They were on the same floor but at opposite ends of the building, even though the building seemed mostly empty. The outdoor pool was closed in October, probably for the season, but it was sunny and in the low 80s, so it would've been nice to use. The indoor pool wasn't heated and was cold. That did at least keep the kids from staying in too long. The Tavern food was okay, neither the best nor the worst, and a bit pricier than going elsewhere, though convenient. The waitress and bartender was nice. The rooms seemed fairly new and were good overall. The dryer failed to shut off twice unless we turned the knob ourselves. The other room had ants in the kitchen, and its shower faucet handle didn't work properly. The location is good, there weren't any deal-breaker problems, and the staff I met were friendly and professional.
