We paid for three nights and left after two. The room itself was hard to sleep in: the three AC units sit on the outside of the wall behind the main bed and shook it whenever they started, and on the second night the upstairs neighbors’ kids ran around until 11. Every few minutes there was a toilet flush, heavy footsteps, and the ceiling creaked. We got almost no sleep either night. Staff said they’d heard the same complaints but wouldn’t move us to a room without upstairs neighbors. The first night was quiet enough since nobody was above us, but that didn’t last. Check-in was a mess too. We were sent to the wrong building and room, then the replacement room number didn’t exist in the building they’d named. We searched four buildings before finding it below street level, with no elevator. That was especially difficult after my two knee surgeries. We didn’t get our money back because we’d booked through a third-party seller. We usually use VRBO and tried this place for the pools and game room. I won’t stay at an IGH property again.

Getting around meant driving everywhere, since there’s no shuttle and the amenities aren’t within walking distance. The area was mostly quiet, though sounds from neighboring rooms carried. Bright lights outside made it difficult to darken our room, and raccoons, a skunk, crows, and deer were around the trash. We’d planned a relaxing couples’ getaway, but the room felt cramped and much smaller than the 645 square feet we booked, more like 250. Staff were pleasant, check-in was quick, and nobody pushed a timeshare. When I asked about the size, the answer was, “that is what a studio is.”

The room change took away the chance to rest after my long day of ziplining. I’d asked more than once for a nap, but they moved my things from a third-floor room away from the playground to a first-floor room right beside it. A large group of kids were loud until after 10pm. I got no apology or compensation for the two hours I couldn’t use the room I’d reserved. The reason for the move was awful: after getting up at 6am and spending the day ziplining, I pulled back the comforter to find a black bra among crumpled sheets. It was clear housekeeping hadn’t changed them. The man at the front desk couldn’t give a firm time for cleaning, saying maybe 30-45 minutes, and had to call someone before arranging a different room. I had fun in Branson, but I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s out of the way, didn’t match the impressive impression from the website, and the staff weren’t helpful. The cleaning staff didn’t clean, and the response felt far from customer service.

You can wait 30 minutes or more just to reach someone by phone, and when they finally answer, they may hang up, so you have to call and wait again. You can’t get them on the phone in an emergency. The bed needs replacing, and the decor is old. There are ways to work with wood. I’d give this a 1/10.
