It was off season when we visited, so things were really peaceful. Our rental was basically a one bedroom suite, with a queen Murphy bed as a second bed in the living room. I’d definitely recommend it.

We got there around 6 p.m. and my boyfriend went to the locked door and rang the bell. A security officer came and waited beside him. The office staff answered from their desks and told him he was at the wrong place without asking his name or whether he had a reservation. The officer said they had multiple hotels in the area and gave him directions. While he was talking to her, another woman walked up and they let her in, even though she didn’t have a reservation. He returned to the truck and told me we were at the wrong place. I handed him the printed directions and reservation details. He got out again, showed the paper to the officer, who was still waiting for us to leave, and then they let him in. They later waived the $250 security deposit and the Wi-Fi fee. Did I mention my man has melanin in his skin? 😡🙄😢
When there was a problem, staff showed up almost right away to help. I’ve waited hours for help at other hotels, so that was a big plus. They also gave us a little pack of coupons and special discounts for shows and other Branson activities. The rooms are lovely and roomy. No elevators can make things tricky, though I understand these are technically condos. I loved the new bracelet keys. They give you a waterproof one with the room at no extra cost, or you can buy one of the cute waterproof ones made of wood or what looks like lava rocks. They have adjustable bands, and the purchase goes to various nonprofits. There were only three designs to choose from, and I hope they add more. You keep it as your key, and they told us it can be reactivated for another World Mark/Wyndham resort stay at several locations. It’s much harder to lose, and being able to wear it in the water is great for swimming without worrying about the key. My only other complaints were the distance from shopping, though that’s true of most hotels, and having only an outdoor pool. That might be fine in hot weather, but we came in chilly fall. I’d also like the rooms to have individual heating and cooling, since some rooms were warmer or cooler than others.
The location and facilities were nice, and the Murphy bed was comfortable. The water was my only complaint. Even the ice smelled like chlorine, so we couldn’t use it, and it made all our drinks taste that way.
Late one night, we found bed bugs on the shower curtain in our unit at WorldMark at Branson. We called the help desk around 11:30 p.m., but they said nothing could be done then and that they’d email a manager. They offered no inspection, alternate room, or immediate help. We found the situation alarming and completely unacceptable. We felt we had no choice but to cut the trip short. We were visiting family and friends and had planned another full day of activities, all of which we had to cancel. This happened right before Christmas, which made it especially frustrating. A problem like this needs to be handled urgently and with care. The lack of support made an already stressful situation worse, and we expected much better from a resort with this reputation.
