Stratford House Inn Branson

I was the last one in my family to arrive, so I got the extra room we had to find when our original hotel had no rooms left and our group turned out to be bigger than the beds in our reservation. I’m glad I ended up at Stratford House Inn. The room was very clean, the linens fresh, the bed comfortable, and I didn’t hear a thing outside my four walls. There were three pillows per bed and enough outlets for all my devices. The bath towels were real bath towels, and the whirlpool tub was big enough for my big rear end! It was a great room in a great location for a lot less than the package price at our original motel. When I visited my family, their rooms looked just like mine, except they didn’t have the big whirlpool tub. Thanks, next year we’ll all stay at The Stratford House Inn.

Donna at the front desk was a big help. She pointed us to good food at reasonable prices, kept fresh coffee ready every day, and gave us useful tips and directions. Mike, the maintenance guy, came through for us when the cold weather killed our van battery. He helped jump it so we could get back on the road. All the staff and even the residents were helpful and made the stay memorable. We’ll definitely return.

The room was mostly clean, though the tub looked dirty, the coffee was awful, and the bed was very firm. The TV also needed to be reprogrammed each day, so I had to go downstairs and ask for help. I’d requested a ground-floor room because spinal stenosis makes stairs difficult for me, but the desk clerk said they were sold out. The hotel sits on a hill, and the parking area is steep with stairs leading up. Getting up and down was horrible. We booked through booking.com, and I won’t do that again.

After driving around and calling places for nearly an hour, we found this hidden gem. The price was great, and the room was clean, with a newer TV, jetted tub, lovely towels, hard floors, and covered mattresses. No bugs or bad smells. They even had a suite where our kids could stay close while we had some privacy. This is my go-to spot now. I recommend it a million times over.
