The Brattleboro

The breakfast was included, and Chad and Ross cooked a feast that might be the best inn breakfast either of us can remember. We planned to explore Vermont, but wound up spending most of the weekend at the inn because it already had what we wanted, and plenty we hadn't realized we needed. Even the lavender pillow spray won me over. We had booked The Brattleboro on a whim for a summer weekend and were blown away by how thoughtfully the luxury stay was put together. The innkeepers, Chad and Ross, along with princess Dior, made us feel cared for without crowding us. Our room had oversized towels and a Dyson blowdryer. We ate lunch on the deck, and enjoyed the hot tub, in-ground pool, outdoor sauna, and fire pit on a summer evening. The inn sits quietly among trees on a private wooded plot, looking over a private pond. It was a lovely break from city life, and I imagine it must be beautiful in fall too. The whole weekend felt like a rich-celebrity rehab retreat. We'd recommend it to couples, girls trips, or anyone in their Amanda Bynes eras. We'll definitely return.

It was a lovely birthday weekend with our friends, who filled the whole inn, and Chad and Ross had arranged the meals and activities for us. Everything ran so smoothly, and we slept and ate really well. My boyfriend and I felt at home right away when the friendly, professional owners welcomed us with Champagne, along with their gorgeous Frenchie: Dior. The Brattleboro Inn will be our Vermont weekend escape for years.

For a crisp fall day, the hot tub and sauna were just right. Our anniversary stay felt special thanks to hosts Chad, Ross, and Dior the Frenchie, who added so many thoughtful touches. Everything we ate was incredible, and these boys seem to be cooking or baking something wonderful all the time. The place is beautifully appointed and among the most welcoming spots I've stayed.

We left already looking forward to coming back. The rooms are gorgeous, and breakfast, included with the stay, was seriously scrumptious. It felt like a weekend in the home of Vermont's finest hosts. In an area with so few truly upscale inns, this new place is a treat. I can't recommend the Brattleboro Inn and Spa highly enough. They have you covered, and you won't want to leave.
