Executive Inn & Suites Breaux Bridge, LA

The room at Executive Inn looked spacious and had a nice layout at first. But finding roaches made the stay uncomfortable and disappointing. Cleanliness matters, and this was hard to overlook. Better pest control and sanitation could make the property much better.

I felt safe here, especially since the upstairs stairways are locked at night to keep non-guests from wandering around after dark. My room was clean, everything worked, and I had no problems. If I need a room in this area again, this will be my first choice. Follow the motel rules and things should be fine.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We paid premium Mardi Gras rates and got a room with cigarette burns on the sheets and several stains on the mattress. There were cockroaches, a toilet seat held together with duct tape, a refrigerator leaking fluids, and a hair dryer that looked burnt out. It was meant to be non-smoking, but there was a partly smoked cigarette in a drawer. There was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. For that price, this was completely unacceptable. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

The beds were comfortable, and it was quiet enough to sleep, but I wouldn't expect much beyond a quick stop to nap before getting back on the road. There was no coffee or breakfast. I wasn't sure the room had been fully cleaned because an empty trial-size shampoo bottle was on the floor. The outlets didn't charge my phone, the hair dryer didn't work, and the AC kept cutting off. The man checking us in was hard to communicate with because he didn't understand English well.
