Gold Flake - Frontier

I picked Cherry Ridge for my wedding weekend, so having the booking fall apart at the last minute was especially stressful. I had reserved the Breckenridge Airbnb on April 9, 2024 and paid the full $4,045 for two nights. At about 11:14 a.m. on May 9, 2025, after I asked about checking in early, they called and messaged to say an “unforeseen” maintenance problem had made the property unavailable. They gave no more detail. We even offered to arrive at 9 p.m. so they could finish the work, but that suggestion was ignored. They offered Holly and Frontier as alternatives, refunded the difference in price, and later approved check-in at 3 p.m., an hour earlier than the usual 4. Holly wasn't comparable in its look, space, or furniture quality, but with the wedding pressure and only one of the two options having enough beds, I chose it. I learned afterward that Holly had mice in the kitchen. The place we eventually stayed in also lacked enough bedrooms, so we made do, and there were exposed nails on the floor by the bunk room. I asked to move to Frontier because, although it wasn't as luxurious, it had mountain views more like the original. They approved the switch and sent an alteration request an hour later. They also offered a free 5 p.m. checkout, but that wasn't useful to us since everyone had flights or long drives home starting Sunday morning. During calls and messages, they said they'd look into compensation for Holly. Our stay ended May 11, and I still haven't heard what came of that.
