Fairfield Inn & Suites Uncasville Groton Area

I’ve stayed here often and I’m a silver elite member, but after what happened Friday Nov 14, I won’t be back. I’d first booked at around 350 dollars, then rebooked at a cheaper rate. When I tried to cancel through the app, it kept saying the request couldn’t be completed, even after several attempts. At check-in, Katie told me I had to ask for the refund. They wouldn’t cancel the charge, and when I offered to pay half and get the other half refunded, she refused. She said each location is independently owned, and I felt she was choosing profit over loyalty. I told her I’d avoid this location from now on. Apparently losing a loyal customer was worth $350 dollars. I hope other “valuable” customers don’t get treated with the same poor attitude.

There are lots of food options nearby since the property is so close to the casino. My room was spacious and clean, and the shower had great pressure with really hot water. Evan at the front desk was friendly and great.

I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and usually don’t have problems or make a fuss, but this room smelled strongly of cigarettes and had stuff on the floor. I turned around almost as soon as I walked in and didn’t want to stay there. They offered me a different room, but after seeing how this one was treated, I figured the others were probably similar. I went to a much nicer hotel up the street instead. This place is GROSS.

The shuttle to Mohegan Sun Casino made getting there easy, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. My room at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Uncasville Mohegan Sun Area was spotless, well cared for, and comfortable. It was a welcoming visit, with a good mix of convenience, service, and comfort. I’d definitely recommend it.
