It’s easy to get into downtown Main St on foot, and that’s unusual for a place where you can also ski in. From Suite 103, you can ski in from the 4 O’Clock run below the turn to the Snowflake lift. There’s a path through the woods to the lodge if you know where to look, and when the road is snow-covered you can ski from its end right to the lodge door. It isn’t ski out, but Snowflake is walkable. We usually walked down to the free bus stop and rode up Ski Hill Rd to Peaks 7 and 8. For the price and location, it’s a great value.

The rooms were dated and noisy. We could hear neighbors talking, pipes banging, and loud footsteps overhead at night since our room was on the ground floor. The hot tub was always occupied, but at least it stayed warm when we got our turn. Getting checked in took a little figuring out, though after that the place was easy to find. Staff were friendly and helped us get oriented and find things to do. It did the job, and we had a blast in the area.

We liked that it was pet friendly and didn’t smell, so it seems they keep the place clean. The appliances worked well, and while the TV had few channels, we weren’t there to watch TV. The hot tub was frigid when we tried it at 2pm on Wed 11 Dec, which cost the place a star. There was a broken hinge on a kitchen cabinet when we arrived. Walking to Snowflake Lift is mostly uphill and took about ten minutes, unless you’re an Olympian. Easier to catch the "Black" bus at Sawmill and Ski Hill, a two-minute walk, and ask the driver to take you to Peak 9 or Peak 7 and 8 lifts. Main St is a bit of a walk when it’s cold, but manageable. Not a bad little place.

The condo was clean and ready when we arrived, but the promised parking permit wasn’t anywhere inside. We called and were told someone would get back to us. Over six hours, we tried three times and heard nothing. After dinner, we returned to find no spaces in the area where we were allowed to park. Another call didn’t get us anywhere. We paid for the condo and one parking spot.

The location was great for skiing, downtown, and nearby buses. Ashley at the front desk was wonderful with directions, tips, and help booking. The hot tub was also great and nobody was using it when we went. We had the 'discount' condo, which was as expected, though the blinds covered only half the sliding door. That seems like an easy fix and probably helps keep warmth in when it’s -8f outside. We found jeans left by previous guests in a drawer and chewing gum on the wall, but otherwise it was generally clean. The kitchen was great, though it could use new pan utensils. I’d recommend the place, but might bring cheap curtains or blinds next time.
