Gabby, Toni, Courtney, Ms. Donna, Ms. Keisha, Ms. Angel, Jayden, Ms. Maria, Mr. Sao and Matt have a welcoming way about them. They usually bring a lot of joy to the place, and I know everyone has good and bad days. A smile and a warm welcome make a difference for those of us staying longer and for everyone coming through the doors. I hope guests will want to return. I’ve been at the Bremen Holiday Inn for weeks this summer, with a few trips in and out that let me experience other IHG locations. Things had recently improved here, but this morning felt like a slide backward. Around 8:40, I was in the elevator with a family and their little guest, maybe 3 or 4, who was beaming about going down for pancakes. His parent then had to tell him the pancake machine wasn’t working and explain that he’d need something else. It was sad to see his excitement disappear. Why can’t they offer pancakes and cinnamon rolls at the same time? Here it seems to be one or the other. The staff who were cheerful and talking with everyone in recent days have left, and after cinnamon rolls were plentiful for two or three days, there are fewer now. The atmosphere isn’t what it was earlier this week. Can this IHG location get back to feeling joyful and keep it that way?

The shower frame wasn’t sealed with silicone, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor. That was my only small room complaint. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, it was quiet, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, though a bit repetitive.
I’m a truck driver and was out of hours, so leaving to find somewhere else wasn’t really an option. I paid $180 for a room I use for about 12 hours, and the AC was broken and loud. I stay here every week and we book a room for my company almost every week, but apparently they couldn’t save one for us. That’s crap. The hotel is still great, and I guess it doesn’t pay to leave a good review. I pay your people and come back every week, but it feels like you don’t care about your bread-and-butter guests, same as everyone else, just charge more. That’s fine, the hotel up the road can take us. You can park a tractor trailer there, and there’s Ingels supermarket and lots of other food choices. Just ask about parking. There are actually three hotels, two of them cheap, only 14 miles north. They can save my company a room.
The AC in my first room was so noisy I couldn’t have gotten any rest. The staff were friendly and switched me to another room without giving me a hard time. That room had an issue too. Still, it’s a great spot for a quick overnight stay.
My friends had planned to stay there, but a family member found bed bugs, so they checked their own room and found them there too. They were really disappointed after driving two hours. I’m glad I didn’t book. The receptionist couldn’t authorize a refund, so they had to call the customer service line.
