Holiday Inn Express Brevard City Center by IHG

We were much happier with this hotel than with the Hampton Inn, where we’d stayed two weeks earlier for camp drop-off, mainly for the loyalty program. This time we were here for pick-up, and the location was more convenient. Our room was spotless and had no pet odors, the beds were more comfortable, and breakfast was far better. The coffee machine grinds fresh beans for each cup, and there’s an automatic pancake maker. We also had a fantastic mountain view from our room. We’ll definitely come back next year for camp drop-off and pick-up.

The pillows were too overstuffed for us, so we asked for a standard one. The night clerk said nothing could be done. We also couldn’t find channels in the on-screen TV guide and asked the front desk for a station list so we could cuddle up and watch a movie. She said no, it was on the TV. We explained that the channels weren’t listed, but she said they were changing providers, didn’t know who the new service was, and had no idea what the stations were. Her suggestion was to click through the channels ourselves. She didn’t offer to find out, call for information, or help us look it up. She seemed quite happy not to help at all. The staff were amazingly unhelpful. Whether that was management or just a very lazy night clerk, I wouldn’t recommend using this hotel unless you don’t mind an undocumented bunch of channels, overstuffed pillows, and staff who don’t care.

We had a wonderful stay, and I mainly wanted to mention the great service from Kaia at the front desk when we checked in. She was so kind and gave us the best customer service!

The breakfast was good, and the coffee too. The woman bringing out food and topping things up was incredibly sweet 🥹. We only stayed one night, but our room was clean, comfortable, and had no bad smell. If we’re in the area again, I know where we’ll stay.
