Brewer Motor Inn

The pub was a highlight: the food was very good, and Cassidy and christen were great waitresses. The room itself was spacious, really clean, and had a comfortable bed. I liked having the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner bottles, and the heat was welcome on a cold, rainy day. The location worked well since I had a sick aunt at the hospital, just two miles away, and parking was easy. I’d stay again, though the room cost a lot. I later learned a country singer was performing, which explained the price hike. The one real downside was breakfast, just kids’ cereal, fruit, and cold coffee.

The area was nice, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. We were too tired to try the pub upstairs, but we’ll give it a go next time. Our room was very good, one of the cleanest pet-friendly rooms we’ve stayed in.

We drove from Lewiston Maine for the Def Leppard concert, and checked in before heading straight out. When we came back and got ready for bed, a cockroach crawled across the wall. We were visibly upset and started looking around. There was also a dead one in the bed with us. I showed it to the worker, who clearly knew it was a cockroach, but he refused to refund us and moved us to another room. At that point I couldn’t stay there, it was disgusting. I had to drive two hours home that night after paying for a room I should have been able to use. I called the manager the next day, but she was rude and wouldn’t work with me on a refund. She tried to say it was a June bug, even though I have videos, which I’ll send to the health inspector. Seeing one crawling on the wall in broad daylight makes me think they could be everywhere. Now that I’ve read other reviews, it seems they haven’t cleaned up after earlier complaints either. I’d stay somewhere else and avoid this place.

There were only two towels in the double room, and no coffee pot, ironing board, or hairdryer. The room felt small for four people, too. The restaurant food was good, but they cut us off after one drink. That wasn’t accommodating.
