Express Inn and Suites

The room was affordable and a decent size for what I needed. The bed was comfortable, the floors seemed to be updated vinyl or laminate instead of carpet, and having a kitchenette was nice. Check-in was handled through a drive-through style window to reduce contact. The man who checked me in was nice, but the woman didn’t speak and wasn’t friendly. The room clearly hadn’t been swept well. There was a condom wrapper outside my door and several things on the floor inside, which I swept up myself with the cleaning supplies I always bring when traveling with a toddler.

I booked through Hotels.com with a reservation code for four nights, but the hotel staff wouldn’t acknowledge the payment. I ended up paying over $1,200 for what I thought was the four-night stay. They had only booked me for three nights, then said I owed another $564 because of the Super Bowl. It’s a scam, and I wouldn’t trust them. The room was bad too, with several bugs in the shower, on the walls, and even in the bed. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. If I could give zero stars, I would. They shouldn’t be in business.

I booked Sunday through Thursday morning, with checkout at 11 a.m., and paid $699. I’d reserved a room with a jacuzzi, but there wasn’t one. The room smelled bad, had roaches, and stains on the bed. While we were out, staff fixed the bed without asking to come in, but they didn’t change any of the sheets or pillowcases. I’m leaving a day early and only asked for the unused final night’s portion back. She argued with me and said I couldn’t get anything refunded, that it was “my problem.” Don’t stay here. They’re very unprofessional.

We were in town for my graduation in Kenner and stayed here October 23, 2024 through October 26, 2024. Check-in was easy, and the downstairs room I requested was exactly what we got. It smelled really good and everything was very clean. We had a great experience and I’d highly recommend this place. The price was reasonable even with Taylor Swift in town.
