A Room At The Beach

The room felt private and independent, but still friendly and lovely. I liked the balcony, and the shower door opened onto a green garden with trees. There was a cute little sauna, space to relax, designer soaps, and WiFi. It's close to everything. Loved the whole stay and I'd come back!

The grounds are breathtaking, and you can feel how much love and intention has gone into the place. There's care and soul in all the little details, which made it feel like more than just a beautiful hotel. Our spontaneous last minute girls' trip ended up being unforgettable. I arrived feeling in awe, and left feeling completely restored. The complimentary rosé and thoughtful snacks welcomed us right away, and the room was immaculate and peaceful. From arrival through checkout, everything went smoothly. Most of all, the service stood out: every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuine, and they seemed to anticipate what we needed. A room by the beach is simply magical. Can't wait to return!

The staff were attentive, and the room amenities felt luxurious, with some included at no charge. They were also flexible when last minute travel problems came up and helped me get to my friend's wedding just in time. In all my years of traveling, from hostels to high rises, ARATB gave me the best hospitality I've experienced. The room felt cozy and distinctive without being overdone. Its smart layout uses a slat wall to separate the bathroom, with the TV mounted flush, so there's less wasted space and a circular flow that makes the room feel bigger. They let adults be adults as long as they act like adults. It's easy to reach Main Street, and the inn is central to the best beaches. Great for Instagram photos, too. Angela and Jose deserve a special thank you for making me feel at home. Definitely enjoy a stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The rooms are a long way from the street, and the photos don't really show you how the place is laid out. It's loud because it's right on montauk highway, and the comfort is about on par with an airplane bathroom. At night, outdoor lights shine through the windows in the room doors and stay on. We complained, but were told they couldn't turn them off or cover the windows. It wasn't remotely dark enough to sleep, which was offensive. There's barely room to set down a toiletry bag or luggage, and nowhere to hang a towel. Every bit of space is already occupied. The dresser was so crowded with trays of things they wanted to sell, from art to collagen supplements and other overpriced baubles, that we couldn't even use the furniture. There's a whole menu of items on the dresser for sale. I paid for a hotel room, not a grocery checkout counter, and didn't book to be a captive audience. At $1,000 a night, this was ridiculous. The beach is over an hour's walk away, as you can see on the map. Calling this a room at the beach makes about as much sense as calling my place in Manhattan a house in the NJ suburbs. This place is an outright gouge. Also, that review below is definitely fake. Never again.
