The room stayed at a comfortable temperature, and the Heating/AC unit handled both heat and A/C well. There was plenty of storage and a good-sized fridge, too. Check-in was quick, and the room was clean. From the front desk and housekeeping to the breakfast buffet staff, everyone was fantastic. The hotel was quiet and clean, with plenty of parking, though it does have a few quirks as an older building. Lodgeville Road gets backed up during the day, so turning left out of the lot can be tricky during business hours. Even so, I’d happily recommend the Best Western Plus Bridgeport and plan to stay again.

The three breakfast choices came fresh to the table, which was a nice change from the usual buffet. Fresh rolls would make it even better, but it’s a good start. We stopped for one night on the way south, and it was excellent value for the money.

The staff deserve recognition. The man at the desk was kind and helpful when I arrived just before midnight on 10/16, after a long drive and with hotels in Beckley booked up. He gave my dog a treat and filled me in on the area. In the morning, the woman at the front desk greeted me with a smile and was genuinely kind. My room was clean and stocked. The building may be older, but it was clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind. A much-appreciative guest, JD

I’m here often for work, and the hotel is good for the price and location. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance, is friendly and accommodating. I’ve had just two minor room issues over time, and both were fixed right away. I’ll keep staying here when I’m in Bridgeport.

We hold our annual quarterly union meetings here. The guest services team always makes us feel welcome, and the employees are clean and conscientious. It’s always a pleasant experience.
