Econo Lodge Paducah West I-24

The price is reasonable, and I will say the rooms are turned over quickly. At the end of our first visit, we watched from across the street as they got our room ready for the next guest. That may be the one thing this place has going for it. We've stayed twice, in the same room. It's roomy enough for three, and the beds are comfortable, but the room can be cold even with the heat on, especially the bathroom. There's a microwave, refrigerator with freezer, ice bucket, and cups, but no coffee maker or coffee in the room. The first time, my husband went to the office to get me a cup, and they had coffee but no makers. It would be much more comfortable to have both in the room instead of hoping the office has some. The online listing says Econo Lodge includes a free continental breakfast, but this location doesn't offer one. If this location doesn't provide it, the listing should say so; if the chain advertises it, every location should have it.

There were lots of restaurants nearby and parking was great. The desk staff were really friendly, and our room was sparkling clean. We felt welcome.

The building and lot both need attention, with potholes in the parking area and a generally run-down feel. The photos are very misleading, especially the pool picture: the pool was closed under a large tarp. Our room was 86 degrees when we arrived because the air conditioner was off, so we turned it on and left while it cooled. At night, noise outside, including what sounded like big trucks, woke us up. The beds felt cheap and worn, and the remote wouldn't turn the TV on or off or change the volume. After 8 pm there was nobody in the lobby. If you arrive late and need to check in or get something, you have to use a phone to call someone.

I stayed on 7-26-25. The room itself was nice, but the outlet between the beds and the light switches had a short. When I went to heat up leftover pizza, I found old food in the microwave. It smelled so rotten that I threw up. I told the desk, and all they said was that they'd clean it. That was beyond nasty, and I'd like a partial refund.
