Comfort Suites Bridgeport - Clarksburg

Breakfast was delicious, but the rest of the stay was a letdown for $196 a night. The room wasn’t very clean, and the pool and jacuzzi were disgusting. Even the clerk said she wouldn’t swim in them. The bathroom and laundry services were out of order, and the water dispenser looked like it had never been cleaned. The couch bed was broken and wouldn’t fold out. Staff were friendly, but not helpful: when I asked for towels, one employee had me stock them in the pool room, and another told us to come downstairs for blankets for the fifth guest, even though we’d reserved the room for that many before our stay. Kids running up and down the hallway upstairs was annoying, though I know that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

We had a very comfortable stay and would gladly come back. Our fourth-floor suite had two queen beds and a sofa. The beds were firm, with plenty of nice pillows, and the room warmed up after we ran the heat for an hour. It stayed comfortable overnight even as the temperature outside dropped to 40 F. Breakfast offered lots of choices, from egg patties and sausage links to biscuits and gravy, waffles, and hot and cold cereal. Nearby dinner options were okay on foot, with more choices a five-minute drive away. The shower worked well and there were plenty of good towels. The TV and remote were fine, and we could charge several devices overnight. The mini fridge worked so well that some of our vegetables froze. We booked the day before, so check-in was quick and easy.

I booked online through the main site well ahead of time, on Thursday 11/27/25, for a 7:30am early check-in on Tuesday 12/2/25. They charged my card $108 and some change. Then at 11pm on 12/1/25, the night clerk called to say they couldn’t honor the early check-in because they were fully booked. I basically had to cancel my stay because they hadn’t figured this out sooner. The staff were rude and unprofessional. After this mess, I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

There was debris on the stained couch, and both the desk and microwave were dirty. I also ended up with two bites on my leg that weren’t there before. For a $150 room, I expected better. This felt like what I’d expect from a $40 Baymont hotel. I won’t stay here again.
