PET FRIENDLY The breakfast was a surprise in the best way. Most complimentary hotel breakfasts are pretty pitiful, but this one had eggs, huge tasty sausage patties, potatoes, and biscuits. The biscuits were the one weak spot. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful, and the place was very quiet, even with lots of oil and natural gas workers staying there. I found a room online because I needed to be in Bridgeport for an early appointment, and was really impressed. My king suite had a comfortable bed, desk, chaise lounge, and a small dining area. It would work well for an extended stay too, with a full size small fridge and freezer, a two burner stovetop, and a dishwasher. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had a good range of choices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a dishwasher, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. Since the motel welcomes pets, they put us on the first floor close to the edit, which made the visit even better. The staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help. The location was just right for everything we needed, so getting around was convenient. A truly lovely stay.

I really wanted this hotel to work for me. The lobby was nice, the location was great, and the service was wonderful. But I was paying for a room, and I hated the condition of both rooms. I spent all through college with 12 roommates, mostly men aged 18-22, and even that was infinitely better. If cleanliness isn’t important to you, it might be a good option. I won’t stay here again. I was in town for two nights for work. On arrival, the location, hospitality, and lobby impressed me, but the bathroom in my first room was appalling. There was hair on the floor, pink and black mold around the bathroom and shower head, and the shower floor was gray with built-up dirt. The mirror and sink also had water and toothbrush marks from the previous guests. After an eight-hour drive, I couldn’t face going out to buy cleaning supplies, and didn’t feel I could shower there. Thankfully, the very sweet and helpful man at the front desk moved me to an upstairs suite. The replacement room was much better, and I thanked him a lot, but its bathroom was still dirty, with some mold in the shower, though not as much as in the first room. I figured I could put up with it for two nights. The surfaces were dusty, there were crumbs in the kitchen, and a strange milky white stain on the couch. I’m attaching pictures of this room, but I didn’t photograph the first one. On my second night, I came back from work to a room that reeked of garbage, like a week’s worth of trash left in outdoor bins on a hot summer day. I checked everything and put away my food, then found another bin under the sink that I hadn’t noticed. It contained food waste from previous guests and a used medical mask. The smell was horrific, and the whole thing was unsanitary and disgusting. Housekeeping may be overworked and underpaid, but emptying the garbage seems like the bare minimum.

I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels while traveling, but this one has been the best by far. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are unbelievable, and everything is very clean. If I’m ever back in this area, I’ll definitely return. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
