Redwood Motel

The room was excellent, and the mini fridge was already cold, so we didn't have to wait around for it. They provided coffee, too. For what I paid, it was well worth it.

The Redwood Motel was a lucky find after we left booking until the last minute. We were traveling on the fly and it seemed like the last bed left in Bridgeport. Even arriving late was easy: we rang the bell, and the desk clerk came right away. We had a peaceful night, and Travertine Hot Springs is only minutes away. The room was dated, but that suited the motel's quirky, rustic look and didn't get in the way of a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and worked properly. Once we noticed the heat was still on, we could adjust it at the wall thermostat and get the window air conditioner to a comfortable temperature. The beds and pillows were soft, and the blankets were fine. We also used the mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and flat-screen TV without any problems. I was especially glad to find a bathtub instead of only a shower. I don't have one at home, so a bubble bath in a clean tub felt like a treat. Outside was quiet all night, and I sat for a while in the deck chairs by the doors. There are some fun yard ornaments and decorations to look at, too. I'd recommend this place to anyone staying in Bridgeport.

We found this hotel right along our drive from Yosemite to Lake Tahoe, and it worked out great for a simple night on the road. The rooms were spotless, and the woman at reception greeted us warmly. Check-in and the stay were comfortable and easy.

It's a fun, funky place, and our room was clean with comfortable beds. We stayed one night and had just checked out. After a long day traveling, asking about the Hot Springs was the best call. My muscles and bones feel great, and I'd happily stay here again.
