We’d been moving between destinations and sleeping in different hotels for more than three weeks, and I didn’t get a good night’s sleep until we reached Ruth Ann’s and Monte’s gem. The bed was so comfortable, and the whole visit felt like being at home. Ruth Ann and Monte were warm and welcoming, and breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. This is the best bed and breakfast we’ve ever stayed in. If you’re going to Yosemite, I highly recommend Yosemite Nights. You won’t be disappointed.

The real highlight came in the morning. Ruth invited us into her living room for a lovely breakfast, then sent us off with containers for extra fruit and slices of banana bread to take on our Yosemite hike. From the room, we could see the backyard, where my girlfriend and I watched birds and a deer having breakfast of their own. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom clean, much like a decent hotel. Still, the kindness of Ruth and Monty made this feel like a better choice than an ordinary, forgettable hotel. One thing to keep in mind: if you need lots of quiet and personal space, or want a trip with little interaction and peaceful isolation, this may not be the place for you. For anyone else heading to Yosemite, I’d highly recommend staying here.

The room was big, clean, and cozy, with a king bed, hide-a-bed couch, private bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. Breakfast felt like being at home, with a generous spread of fresh, tasty food every morning. The quiche was delicious! We also loved seeing the deer and the beautiful stars at night. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality and a wonderful stay. Hope we can visit you and Yosemite again soon!

Yosemite was ridiculously crowded over the 4th of July weekend, so I wouldn’t recommend visiting the park at such a busy time. Ruth Ann still got up at 5am each day to make breakfast for everyone staying at her BnB. I visited in July 2022 and only just realized I’d never left a review. The hospitality from Ruth and Montie was incredible. Thank you, Ruth Ann. I hope I can find my way back to your kitchen soon.

Try to get there in daylight on your first day so you can see where you’re staying. It could be hard to find at night, though it’s worth staying here. Downtown Mariposa is only about 15 minutes away, and the Yosemite entrance is about 40 minutes away. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good every day, and the hospitality is great. You can spot deer outside the windows and wild turkeys wandering around in the morning. These people are extremely nice.
