Hampton Inn Brigham City

The staff were nice, and the rooms were clean. But that was the worst bed we’ve ever had in a Hampton. Ask about upgraded pillows if they have any, and keep in mind they only provide two towels. Also, that elevator might be the coldest one you’ve ever ridden.

The room itself was fine, though the walls had some cracks and the soundproofing wasn’t great. We won’t return and can’t recommend this hotel. We booked and paid for a king room through the official Hampton Inn website, but at check-in they first couldn’t find our reservation and asked if we’d used a third party. Once we said we’d booked directly, they found it, then told us they were overbooked and put us in a room with two queen beds instead. They tried to charge us that night, but after we explained we’d already paid in full, they found the payment and gave us keys. In the morning they said everything was settled. On the drive home, two more full-price charges from the hotel were declined. My husband called and explained that this was the third attempt to charge us again. They said they’d handle it and ended the call. We got no apology for the wrong room or the repeated billing mistakes. Check your bank account carefully if you stay here. We expected a smooth visit because we booked directly, but that wasn’t our experience.

On December 13th I tried to check in, but the reservation was under my husband’s name, so they wouldn’t let me stay. He was going to meet me three hours later, but they expected me to wait until he arrived. I canceled and went to Tremonton instead, and then the hotel charged me anyway. That felt very predatory. I’ll never stay at the Brigham City Hampton Inn again. Lesson learned.

We were passing through on a cross-country move and stopped to rest. I slept like a baby, so I can’t say much about the amenities. But they were very accommodating at 10 pm and got us checked in quickly and politely. We appreciated it!
