Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brighton South - US 23 by IHG

This Holiday Inn was impressively clean and well kept. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave, the water quality was very good, and the breakfast selection was fresh and impressive. There’s also an exercise room and pool. The concierge was polite and professional. The rooms were quiet, with quiet-close door hinges and seals that block sound and light at night. Feedback for Holiday Inn: thanks for finally adding soundproofing to room doors. Please keep exploring whether it can be done for ground-level room windows and facades too.

The pool stays open late, and breakfast had several satisfying choices. The coffee was freshly ground too, and I’m a coffee snob. Harriet at the counter in the morning was a ray of sunshine. We checked in Friday night with my son and some friends for a swim. The building was easy to get to, in a wonderful Brighton location, and clean by my standards. Joshua at the front desk had answered several questions kindly over the phone before we arrived, then helped us settle in and feel welcome. They allow pets too, and my two Boston fur babies loved it. Wonderful staff all around. We’ll be back. Keep up the great service, and thank you.

We were there for a baseball tournament, and the hotel was conveniently close to our venue. Staff made sure we got two queen beds, and we were able to check in early. Breakfast was nice and the staff attentive. Even with lots of families there over President's Day weekend, when noise could have been a concern, we had a decent night. We’ll stay again.

Room 321 wasn’t as clean as places I’ve stayed at many other hotels. The shower knob moved and suddenly went to super hot, burning my girlfriend and me. The bed was loud, the pillow super flat, and the heating unit made strange noises and didn’t work right. Breakfast was horrible too. In my experience the sausage links and potatoes were undercooked. Worst Holiday Inn Express stay I’ve had, and I’ve stayed at many. So sad.
