The house and yard are so peaceful, with a lovely porch and common areas. Everything was clean, comfortable, and so, so beautiful. I loved talking with the other guests and caretakers, and the cat, too. Thanks for sharing this home with us!

I feel compelled to write this review, like my soul is telling me to. The owner of this mansion has the vision, dedication, and drive to preserve local history and take it to another level. I had a completely unique experience, the kind no amount of money could buy. I felt humbled to my bones, as if I’d gone back in time to a 1500s European castle where the people living there treated me like family. Be humble and respect the vision behind this place. I’ll post pictures, but they can’t capture its beauty or scale. You just have to experience it.
My family took over Vineyard Mansion last week, renting all four rooms for three nights, and the house and experience were wonderful. We were in the area for Benedictine College graduation weekend, and needed a flexible, comfortable home base for eight guests across three generations, coming from 700 miles away. Vineyard Mansion went beyond what we’d hoped for and became a highlight of the visit. The hosts kept a very low profile but were available and graciously handled two simple requests. We truly felt as if we owned the place, in a genuine and respectful way. Staying there felt like a privilege and a blessing. Bravo to the owners for lovingly caring for this historic gem.
I stayed in three of the suites, and each one had its own cozy feel. The antiques throughout the house are beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was a wonderful stay, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it.
On our second stay, we tried the Lincoln room after choosing Benjamin the first time. Both are lovely, but I think Lincoln is my favorite. The Mansions cat even showed us to our room, then led us to the kitchen in the morning. We call him Mr. Belvedere since we don't know his name, and he makes quite the host assistant. The plants make me jealous, too! I love that there aren't TVs in the rooms. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy that, but it let me disconnect from my hectic downtown KC life and head back refreshed for the work week. The hosts are great, and everything we needed was there. It's such a magical, history-filled place, and you never feel like a burden. You're free to roam, too. Thank you for opening your home. We loved our stay and are planning another night away in 2-3 months.
