Whiskey Mansion

The town has plenty of history and architecture to take in, and the neighborhood around the house is a mix. Walking down to the downtown core is easy enough, but the uphill walk back gives you a solid cardio workout. The restoration of this burned-out classic house is unbelievable.

Breakfast was beautiful, with fresh fruit, a delicious quiche special, cranberry raisin toast, OJ, and coffee brought to our table in the dining room on period China. We had a glass of wine on the veranda and enjoyed chatting with the other travelers. The house was fully booked during our stay. The whole place was spotless, with gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bedding, furniture, and furnishings were all high quality. The historic mansion has been restored with care, right down to the smallest period detail. Olen checked us in, and it was interesting to learn that he's the owner and did the restoration himself. He has documented the mansion's rich history with pictures and albums throughout the home. It was a five-star experience across the board. We'd recommend checking availability at The Whiskey Mansion before choosing somewhere else, and booking directly for better rates. We'll definitely stay here again, and we're actually booking our next trip now. Thank you, Olen and staff, for a memorable stay.

The mansion and grounds are gorgeous, and everything was very clean and organized. I was here for a business trip and had such a relaxing stay. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the accommodations were quiet and charming. The owner really spoils his guests with a gourmet-style breakfast, including homemade bread, fresh fruit, and a Fritatta. Thanks so much for making it feel like a home away from home. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

The rooms are beautiful, clean, and impeccable, and Holly takes great care preparing a delicious breakfast. She does a wonderful job. The owner, Olin, greets you with a friendly face, and the parlor has an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. Everything is perfect down to the tiniest detail. We'll be back time and time again.
