The river was the first thing I wanted to spend more time near. Our room looked out over it, and the sound was mesmerizing. The lobby felt soothing too, with the koi fish and the water sounds as Maggie greeted us at the door with a lovely smile. Jerry and Maggie made us feel personally cared for, and the place itself is beautiful. Maggie’s homemade breakfasts were delicious, especially the waffle, which I won’t forget. Snacks, coffee, and tea were available all day, and I loved Jerry’s sense of humor. I wish I could have walked on the river. I’d definitely stay here again for an unforgettable Portland visit. Thanks so much, Jerry and Maggie.

We had such a good time and left feeling like we’d had a chance to relax and breathe some fresh air. Jerry and Maggie were so welcoming and the cabin is striking, with a really distinctive design and a warm, unusual feel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was seriously delicious. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful break.

Breakfast came in generous portions, and the owners were kind and easygoing. My boyfriend and I spent two nights in this incredible, impeccably kept home with a big log cabin feel. The river view was stunning. I like sleeping with white noise, so I left the windows open to hear it. We spent some time down by the river on the first night, but the bugs got bad, so we headed uphill to the patio instead. We had cheese and wine for dinner there, looking out over the river. It was beautiful. There’s also a pool table, and we played a few times.

Jerry and Maggie were so friendly, and the property is right on the riverfront with a magnificent log cabin style home. The owners and the whole place were amazing. My wife had trouble getting comfortable in the bed, as she does in any bed, so she wouldn’t have given it five or more stars. I was completely happy with the stay. This was our first B&B, and after the experience I’d go back in a heartbeat. Other B&Bs now have some high expectations to meet. I absolutely recommend Sandy Salmon B&B, and I’ll stay here whenever I come to Portland.

The hospitality was outstanding, and breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed talking with Jerry and Maggie and the other guests. This B&B has become a special place for us, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. I was impressed as soon as I drove through the gate, then even more amazed once I stepped inside. Take your time and keep looking around so you don’t miss anything. The view is spectacular, and the whole place feels peaceful and relaxing. Thanks, Jerry and Maggie!
