Econo Lodge & Suites Brinkley

The room was clean and recently redone, with new bedding, decent internet, and what looked like a new AC/heater. The floors weren't perfect, but they were clean, and the bed was fine. It was very quiet, with hardly anyone there, and I'd stay again. I couldn't get a receipt for work because there was no attendant, and the breakfast nook wasn't open at all.

We needed a night's rest on a long drive and had no reservation, but they fit us in. This older motel was clean and fresh, and the beds were comfortable. The warm shower had good pressure. Prices were higher than what Google shows, though that seems pretty normal now. It's not a big-name hotel, but it was plenty good enough. The TV showed menus but wouldn't play programs, so we watched YouTube instead on the good internet.

The room was fine and the location convenient, but if you have another choice, stay somewhere else. I was traveling cross-country alone and asked for a room for one night. They quoted me $55 and gave me no receipt. The next day, they charged my card $91 because I had a king bed. Nobody mentioned that price or offered me another option, like a smaller bed for one person. When I brought it up with the clerk, I didn't get any money back. The room wasn't worth $91. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the water pressure was terrible. It took 20 minutes for the water to get even warm.

I was passing through on I-40 last week and had planned to stay at a nationwide dog-friendly place by the highway. Someone at the fast food place said that was a bad idea and pointed me here instead. The rate was reasonable and dogs are allowed. I liked the older single-story setup, where you can park right in front. There were two beds, not new but not too soft, and both the AC and fridge worked great. The fridge wasn't dirty or iced up. The bathroom was clean, and the water was hot. There are gas, convenience store, and fast food options nearby. I'd choose it again if I'm back in the area.
