Courtyard Bristol

I came down to buy a car and wound up staying a couple of extra days. They put me on the first floor by the side door, which worked well with my service animal. The room and staff were both really nice, and I enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, and garden outside. I swam laps every morning, doubling back and going diagonally because the pool was so small. It was about 10* out, and they had the outside door open because the "humidifier was broken." The water felt like an ice bath, so I shut the door and turned on the jacuzzi to warm it up. I even got some sun in there.

The location was handy, near the highway, restaurants, and shops, and my room was clean and nicely set up. The hotel was decent overall, but the amenities were underwhelming. The pool and hot tub were closed for renovations, and breakfast wasn't included. There's an à la carte bistro with individual items that looked a bit overpriced. I didn't see anyone eating there, which made sense with around a dozen cheaper places to get good food within walking distance. It was fine, just not memorable.

We only needed a quick night on a road trip, and the front desk service at 10pm was great. They found us a room on the second floor. It was clean and we felt safe. Checkout was easy with the key drop. I'd stay again if I'm passing through.

We have family near Abingdon and Bristol, so we sometimes need a room in the area. We found this hotel and have returned ever since. Its location makes it easy for us to get between the two towns, and the military discount keeps it affordable. The rooms have been consistently clean and were updated fairly recently. We haven't tried the on-site bar or restaurant because we usually eat with family. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our latest stay and plan to come back.
