Historic Hotel Broadalbin

The historic character is a big part of what keeps me coming back each winter when I visit Lapland for cross-country skiing. The owners have done a fantastic job preserving that old charm. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the bar and restaurant are excellent. Can't wait to return soon.

The pub dinners were just right for a cold night, especially the turkey and meatloaf. We stayed in Room 3, the Adirondack queen room, a couple of weeks ago while visiting friends, and were really happy with it. The room felt cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. I loved hearing the church bells start at 8am. It made the place feel like a little European village. Our hosts were kind and went beyond what we expected. And no paranormal activity for us, lol, though apparently the hotel is on the NYS haunted trail, haha.

We had food and drinks in the tavern, which is such a cozy spot. The furniture and bedding were really comfortable, too. This historic inn is super cozy and nicely kept. The Thompsons are doing a great job respecting the building's history while making the space comfortable for guests. I'd definitely come back.

Dave made me feel like family from the moment I arrived at the Historic Broadalbin Inn. I got there about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, and he told me to leave my bags, place my dinner order, and take care of check-in afterward. What a find on my motorcycle trip through the Adirondacks. I've been touring the area for over ten years, usually staying at the same inns and eating at the same local restaurants, and my rides are all overnights. The inn is beautiful and authentic, with every detail taken care of. The restaurant was exceptional, from the food to the atmosphere, staff, and overall feel. My room and bedding were exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable, a ten in every way. Thanks so much, Dave, for making the stay perfect and treating me like family. I'll see you soon.
