Best Western Brockport Inn & Suites

The room smelled fresh and was clean and pleasant, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The front desk team were really friendly and took care of the few things I asked for during our stay. Breakfast was a big improvement since our last visit. There still aren't many GF choices, but that seems typical for hotels. A much better stay this time.

Breakfast was the letdown for what we paid. There was little fruit, and everything was individually wrapped with no labels to say what was inside. It was the fewest breakfast options I've seen at a hotel in a long time, so dietary restrictions could be a problem. I've learned to bring food I can eat to get my day started. The hotel itself is bright and spacious, and our room was large and very clean. Having two TVs within 15 feet of each other was odd, though a nice touch. Maybe a bifold door between the sofa and bed would make a separate area. The location isn't far from the busy part of the area, though if you know brockport, that isn't saying much. So far, we like it.

It felt like home here. The employees were really friendly, and our room was clean and had plenty of space. We stayed for the long weekend and would definitely come back.

I booked two rooms at this Best Western for colleagues visiting. One woke up with several bite marks and told the front desk right away. She was told management wasn't available and to try again in two days. I moved both guests to another hotel for their safety. The affected guest went to WellNow Urgent Care, where a doctor said the bites were from bed bugs and treated her allergic reaction. I called repeatedly and kept hearing that no manager was available. After two days, one finally called and said room 214 had been inspected and no bed bugs were found. It's hard to understand how that fits with the urgent care diagnosis, especially after staff didn't address the report promptly. Her employer told her to throw away all her clothes, including the few things she'd washed on high heat at a laundromat. She was left with virtually nothing. She hadn't asked for money or a free room, only help handling and safely cleaning her belongings. The hotel failed to help or take basic responsibility. My company won't book here again, and I'd tell other travelers to pay attention to how management handled this.
