La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tulsa Broken Arrow

We paid $180 for one night, so I expected more than this. There were stains and hairs on the sheets, hairs on the clean towels, a crooked door with a gap that let in light and noise, and a bathroom that needed a complete redo. I’ve included pictures. A tournament was going on during our visit, and we ended up at the end of a hall with the players. The hall greeted us with yelling, slamming doors, a skunky smell, and a stale locker-room odor that just lingered. The noise and banging went on all night. Thankfully our 2- and 4-year-olds were already asleep, but my husband and I had to use AirPods for some quiet. Breakfast had pastries, cereal, waffles, eggs, and sausage links. No complaints there since it was included. The location was fine, but that was about the only positive. I wouldn’t stay or recommend it again. There are nicer hotels for the same price in the same parking lot.

My massive, fat-headed pit was welcomed so warmly, maybe even more than I was! The person who checked us in was sweet, kind, and informative. The shower was amazing, too. Its alternating shower head impressed me enough that I bought one for home. The bed and pillows felt like sleeping on clouds. Breakfast was the usual waffles, sausage links, scrambled eggs, yogurt, pastries, oatmeal, and cereal. The woman who helped with checkout mattered just as much as the rest of the experience. The way she wished me a good day set a nice tone. Nothing short of fantastic!

The rooms were consistently clean, and every staff member was friendly and checked whether they could help. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile, and they listened to understand. Great customer service and a great hotel to stay in.

I ended up needing a last-minute place on Christmas Eve while visiting family, after they told us they couldn’t host us after all. I had my dog with me, and being pet-friendly was the main draw. There was a $25 fee. The room was large for the price, about $125 including the pet fee, with a King size bed. The hotel was in pretty good shape. There’s a small patch of grass by the elevators for dogs, and plenty of nearby sidewalks for walks. The location was convenient too.
